RPZ valve testing for commercial properties
At Huttie, our Gas Safe registered plumbing engineers are fully-accredited reduced pressure zone (RPZ) valve testers and can work efficiently to ensure you commercial property’s RPZ valves are working effectively for your water system.
An RPZ valve is used to avoid pollination of water. It works by protecting against backflow and avoiding contamination of mains cold water systems. RPZ valves are most commonly used for swimming pools, launderettes and food processing plants, but are equally valid for all types of commercial premises.
All RPZ valves should be tested annually by an accredited tester. Our highly-skilled workforce can be contracted to your premises periodically to run checks on your valves to prevent the backflow of fluid from connections between potable and non-potable water supplies. Our engineers take great pride in the quality of their workmanship and will always leave a job clean, tidy and dry once finished to minimise disruption to your business operations.

The 1991 Water Industry Act states that business and property owners have a responsibility to ensure every water system has an adequate device such as an RPZ valve to avoid pollination of water between potable and non-potable water supplies. We can work with you to maintain your premises’ cold water systems and allow you to focus on doing what you do best – running your business.
